Birth

Born in Concord, MA on March 10th to parents Barbara and Kevin Campion. Was suposed to be named Patricia Campion but at the last minute ended up with the name Alison Campion.

Oct 31, 1989

Moved to MN

Family begins move from MA to MN on a rainy Halloween evening in 1989. Link to route on Google Maps.

Sep 11, 1993

Began first hockey season

First season participating in organized ice hockey, with the Hokins Youth Hockey girls squirt-level program through USA hockey. Coached by father Kevin Campion.

Recieved early decision acceptance letter from Carleton College of Northfield, MN for the 2005 graduating class.

Began study-abroad in China

Began study abroad program in Tianjin, China. From ali.ethanet.com:
As a sophomore at Carleton College I had the opportunity to take part in the Carleton Tianjin Seminar. The seminar was a one-term (three month) study abroad program coordinated by Carleton Professor Qiguang Zhao in partnership with Nankai University. The 2002 Tianjin Seminar consisted of 25 Carleton students, ranging from sophomores to seniors. The main focus of the trip was Chinese language and culture study.

Married Ethan Joshua Sommer and changed name to Alison Rose Sommer at Carleton College's Severence Great Hall. Wedding was attended by 73 friends and family.

Honeymoon in China

Alison and husband Ethan had a two-week honeymoon in China beginning on July 1st, 2005. During those 2 weeks they visited the cities of Beijin, Tianjin, Qingdao, and Shanghai.
