She was later accepted into Columbia University but never attended, because she wanted to focua on her music carrer full time. Her first proffesional job was wrinting and recording the song "Dah Dee Dah (Sexy Thing)" for the 1997 blockbuster hit Men in Black.

The title paid homage to both her classical traning and her young age.
