    Jim Folsom
    Jim Folsom was the 42nd Governor for Alabama. Born on Oct. 9th 1908 in Coffee County, Al. He served from 1947 to 1951 and again from 1955 to 1959. Jim Folsom was part of the Democratic party. He was best remembered as being among the firt southern governor to embrace integration and civil rights for African Americans.

    Seth Persons was born on Feb.5, 1902. He was born and died on Montgomery, Al. The Dauphin Island bridge south of mobile is formally named after him. Persons was a member of the Democratic party.
  • John Patterson

    John Patterson
    John Patterson was born on Sept. 27, 1921. He was a member of the democratic party. By profession he was a lawyer. Served as State Attorney General from 1954 to 1959. He was responsible for increased funding for highway and school construction, also provided funding for facilities for the mentally ill.

    George Wallace was born on Aug, 25, 1919.and was the 45th governor for Alabama. Mr. Wallace served four terms. He also ran for president four times. Assassination attempt in 1972 left him paralyzed. Best known for southern populist, pro- segregation attitudes during the American desegregation period.

    Mrs. Wallace the 46th governor of Alabama. She was born on Sept. 19, 1926. She was the first wife of Alabama Governor George Wallace. Alabama's first and only female governor. Known for increases in expenditures for mental health, and funding for state parks.

    Albert Brewer was the 47th govrnor of Alabama. He was born in Bethel Springs, Tn. He served from 1968 to 1971. He was with the democratic party and served as a distinguished professor of law and government at Samford University 's Cumberland School of Law. He called for more education funding.

    Forrest James was born on Sept. 15, 1934. He was a civil engineer and all american halfback. Served two terms as governor from 1979 to 1983 as a democrat and again from 1995 to 1999 as a republican. Known for intergrating Alabama government.

    H. Guy Hunt
    Guy Hunt was born on June 17, 1933. He was the 49th governor for Alabama. Known for flying on state owned aircraft to preaching engagements where Hunt recieved monetary offerings.
    Mr. Hunt was impeached and removed from office.

    Mr. Folsom was born on May 14, 1949. He was the 50th governor of Alabama. He served from 1993 to 1995. Known for having the Mercedes Benz automotive plant located in Alabama. He beat 30 other states for the coveted facility. This opened the door for future automotive plants to locate to the state of Alabama.

    Mr. Siegelman was born on Feb. 24, 1946. He is a member of the democratic party. He is the only person in Alabama history to be elected to serve in all four of the top statewide elected offices. He served in Alabama politics for 26 years. Mr. Siegelman helped recruit automotive industries, Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai.
