The riots started in Watts California due to a traffic stop. the driver, Marquette failed his sobriety test and began fighting one of the officers out of fear. his brother joined in. police back up came along with a crowd, they all assumed that the crowd was fighting the cops without reasoning.

Vivian Strong was an African American Woman living in Omaha Nebraska until her death on June 24. she and her friends were in an abandoned apartment complex, hanging out when police officers showed up to break them up. Police reported that a scuffle went on and Vivian got shot to death.
