Proclamation Act
It reserved all the western territory for use of the Native Americans. The crown tried to stop the western expansion and so the colonist thought that they were disregarding their rights to inhabit the land. -
Quartering Act
The Quartering Act was passed to make colonies provide soldiers with provisions and barracks. The colonists didn't agree with it because it went against their rights. -
Sugar Act
This act outlawed the importation of foreign rum and imposed taxes on wines, silks, coffee,e and a number of other luxurious items. They enforced the sugar act so that it would reduce the need to smuggle the commodity. Which colonist thought that it would ruin their businesses by paying these taxes, no taxation without representation was what they would say. -
Currency Act
it prevented paper bills of credit to pay off debts. The money was short because of the trading system so it made it even more difficult to pay off these debts. So the colonists weren't very happy about this act because it basically created a burden on them. -
Stamp Act
The stamp act required that every paperwork, newspaper, pamphlets, license, lease, and other legal documents receive a stamp so that these documents could be protected and to secure the colonies. The colonists disagreed and didn't see the need to pay the tax. -
Townshend Act
The Townshend act was used to raise revenue that would be used to support colonial officials and maintain the British army in America. The colonists thought that they have the right to control imperial commerce but did not have the right to tax. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a fight between the British and Bostonians. The colonists won a great disagreement which they had removed the Townshend act except on tea. -

Intolerable Act
The Intolerable Act In response of the Boston Tea party Parliament passed these laws. The Boston port was closed until all the tea was paid for, which would ruin the economy and they couldn't hold meetings. -
The Quartering Act 1774
The Quartering act of 1774 allowed royal governors, rather than colonial legislatures, to find homes and buildings to quarter or house British soldiers. The colonists did not agree with this act as it was an infringement upon local authority. -
Quebec Act
The Quebec act threatened colonial expansion and extended the boundaries of the province of Quebec which was added to the intolerable acts. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonists were upset about the tax on tea and disguised themselves as Native Americans and boarded three ships with tea and threw all the tea in the Boston Harbor. -
Declaratory Act
The Declaratory act got rid of the stamp act because of all the boycotts that were taking place and the colonists not agreeing with having to pay these taxes. So having the Stamp act hurt the British and them being able to trade.
