    His sister was killed by John Thomas Kyle. This event was the biggest tragedy of his life. His sister was the closest to him in his family. She was greatful for him after every match.

  • Dan Gable graduated from highschool

    Went undefeated his whole Highschool season

  • Sophmore Year

    Once again he had an undefeated season. He had won the Midlands tournament and NCAA tournament.

  • Junior Year

    Once again, He had won the Midlands Tournament and NCAA Tournament and still went Undeffeated.

  • Dan Gable Vs Larry Owings "The Match Heard Round The World"

    After 182 matches -the biggest undefeated streak ever obtained- the invincible Dan Gable was deffeated. Owings beat Gable 13-11.

  • 1972 Olympics

    Dan Gable had won a gold in 1972 olympics without having a single point scored on him even with an injured knee.
