  • Presented The Idea

    One of the members of the Al-Qaeda group presented the idea to Bin Laden. He planned it very carefully. They went with the plan, five years later.

  • Hurricane Erin

    Hurricane season was in around the time 9/11 happened. It was not a surprise that the hurricane would come. Even though it didn't go away until September 15, 2001.

  • Four Planes Were Hijacked

    How many people were killed?On September 11, 2001, 19 al-Qaeda terrosists hijacked four planes. These planes were used to crash into multiple buildings. 2,996 people were killed during these attacks.

  • A Plane Crashed Into the Pentagon

    At approximately 9:37 A.M., one of the four planes crashed. To be specific, this plane crashed into the Pentagon. The other three remained in the air.

  • 1st Crash at the World Trade Center

    1st CrashAt around 9:03 A.M., the first plane crashed into the south building of World Trade Center. This was only the first crash. Even then, it still left a big impact.

  • Crash In A Field

    The hijacker was desperate for an escape at this point. He was wondering how he could get out of the mess. So, he decided to crash the plane in a field.

  • Other Tower Gets Hit

    How Many People Died?The other tower to the World Trade Center gets hit. It smokes and is caught on fire. In total, the attack caused 2,752 people to die.

  • The Towers Collapsed

    The two towers of the WTC collapsed. Many people died, many people were mourned. People couldn't do anything to save them.

  • Economy Got Worse

    Since the Twin Towers had so much invested in them, they were bound to take a lot of money to fix. The economy got worse in lower Manhattan. Many people were saddened by this

  • Bin Laden Denies He Was The Culprit

    Bin Laden was the leader of the Al-Qaeda. He denies ever being part of the 9/11 attacks. Everyone knows he did it though.

  • Ammonium Nitrate Ignited

    Ammonium Nitrate September of 2001 was a month of disaster. In France, an explosion occured and knocked out a diameter of around 100 feet of ground. The explosion was done with ammonium nitrate.

  • USA PATRIOT Act

    In regards to the attacks on 9/11, President Bush declared a new act. It would reduce restrictions on law enforcement. It gave law organizations the right to search through anything they find necessary to search.

  • Admitted Original Plan

    In an interview, it was stated that they intended to hit the US Capitol. They didn't want to hit the White House. They just wanted to hit the capitol.

  • Reconstruction

    On November 18, 2006, reconstruction of one of the towers began. People finally had enough money to start this project. It would take many years, but they would do it.

  • Opening of the New WTC

    The first tower of the WTC finally opened after 8 years of construction. They worked long and hard on it. The work is finally done, and they are proud.
