My moms side of the family moved here from Italy. So did my fathers but earlier than my moms side. -

My step-mom's family moved to the U.S from Australia. Her dad got a job offer here. -

He was leading the allies against Germany and Japan. He then died just as there was about to be a victory. So, Truman became president just as WWII was ending. He made the decision to use atomic bombs to end the war against Japan. -
Alcoa
Step mom's father gets a job with Alcoa. He had more experience than other Alcoa workers. -
France Surrenders to Germany
This battle was also known as the Fall of France. This war resulted in France being divided into a German Occupation Zone. -
Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor
The surprise attack was complete. The Japanese had killed almost 2,403 U.S citizens and destroyed 188 planes. -

Alocoa sent her father to work for Alcoa in Brazil. He could make more money here. -
Got a cat
My Grandparents got a cat. Thye named it Kimba because it looked like a tiger. -

The United States Navy defeated the Japanese Navy. The U.S Navy set up an ambush from being defeated once again. -
The Battle of Stalingrad
This battle ended February 2, 1943. It was a great lost to Germany in Russia. -
Grandparents got divorced
My mom's side of the family parents got divorced. They werent happy with eachother anymore. -
D Day
Was an air assault. Also was the latgest invasion of all time. -
Alcoa comes back to the U.S
Alcoa ships her father back to the U.S. He is needed more here. -

This battle took place untill Germany surrenderd. This situation started because of the French resistance against the German Paris garrison. -
Move from Pittsburgh to Canada
Her father had to move the rest of his family to Canada. Which is where he was stationed for Alcoa. -

This battle took place in the woods in Belgium. This battle was the largest and bloodiest battle for the U.S. -
Grandma gets surgery
My grandma had to get surgeory on her knee after falling down the steps. She tripped on her dog. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
This battle lasted untill March 26, 1945. The U.S captured Iwo Jima from Japan. -
Grandma is fully recovered
My grandma is fully recovered. After going through physical therapy and being on crutches. -
Grandpa opens buisness
My granpa on my dads side of the family opened a barber shop. He was known as the best barber in town. -
Hittler commits Suicide
Hitler decided that Germany was going to lose war. Therefor, he shot himself commiting suicide. -
VE Day
VE stands for Victory in Europe Day. This was when the allies accepted the surrender of Nazi Germany. -
Grandparents get a pool
My grandparents owned a huge house. They wanted to get a pool for their kids and and maybe someday grandchildren. -
Atomic Bomb Dropped on Hiroshima
The U.S dropped two atomic bombs. One on Hiroshima and the other on Nagasaki. These two places were where the Japan's second army headquarters is. -
Granpa gets surgeory on hand
He got his hand smashed in a door. One bone shattered. -
Atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki
This bombing killled about 60,000-80,000 people in Nagasaki. The detonation was called "fat man". -
Back to the U.S
My step mom's dad gets sent back to PIttsburgh to work for Alcoa. He is more needed here now. -
VJ Day
Vj means victory of Japan day. They called it this because it was the day Japan surrendered officialy ending WWII -
family is happy
My step moms family is happily living in Pittsburgh and has been ever since. They all still live her now still.
