    Antonie van Leeuwenhoek
    BORN- was a Dutch tradesman and scientist from Delft, Netherlands. He is known as "the Father of Microbiology" and the first microbiologist. He is best known for his work on the improvement of the microscope and for his work towards the discovery of microbiology. he was the first to observe single celled organisms, muscle fiber, bacteria, spermatozoa and blood flow in capillaries.

    BORN- Schleiden preferred to study plant structure under the microscope. JHe wrote Contributions to Phytogenesis , where he stated that the different parts of the plant organism are composed of cells. He recognized the importance of the cell nucleus, and realized its connection with cell division.

  • Rudolf Virchow

    BORN- was a German doctor, anthropologist, pathologist, prehistorian, biologist and politician, known for his work for public health. He is considered one of the founders of social medicine. In 1855, Rudolf Virchow proposed an important extension of cell theory that "All living cells arise from pre-existing cells". This statement has become what is known as the "Biogenic law".
