Life was hard in Austria with the German Nazi party blaming the Jews for everything.

The Nossal famiy was of Jewish origin. They decided to migrate to a safe country called Australia with Gustav at the ripe age of eight.

When Gustav arrived in Sydney he could not speak english but he became dux of a junior Jesuit school in grade eight.

He kept studying and also became dux of St Aloyiusios College, his high school in Sydney.

After graduating from high school he moved to Walter Eliza Hall in Melbourne to study medicine.

He succesfuly graduated from Uni in Australia. But then went on to Stanford Uni In America. He was fourtunate to be studying with Nobel Prize winners

He then studied Antibody Immunology Medicine at Stanford University in America.

In 1977 he was recognised with a very prestigious achievment. Being knighted by the Queen Of England.

He was also proud to receive the Australian of the Year award as all his success originated in his adopted homeland, Australia.

He then recieved the Albert Einstein World of Science award for outstanding work in science.

His latest achievment was getting an Immunology course named after himself at the Monash University. This is just a snipet of awards he has recieved.

He is currently living in Sydney.He is retired with four adult children, his wife and many awards. He will always remember what he has done for Humanity. Thanks for listening to my timeline.
