    The Nuremburg laws were antisemitic laws in Nazi Germany which were introduced at the annual Nuremberg rally. They took away the German citizenship of Jews. -Katie

    Germany, Britain, France, and Italy sign the Munich Pact allowing Germany to invade the Sudeten territories of Czechoslovakia. Although this breaks the treaty of Versaille, the allies allows Hitler to continue with his plans with no opposition. -Katie

    The first major battle that the canadians fought in was a flop. The battle of hing kong consisted of the canadians and chinese fighting off the Japanese in order to save the city of Hong Kong from being captured. On Christmas Day, the Canadians were forced to surrender and those who were fortuate enough to survive had to endure three and a half years of hardships as prisoners of war. -Katie

    D-Day was the invasion of the Beaches of Normandy on the French coast. This would soon be known as the greatest seasborn invasion. The Canadian forces invaded and liberated Juno Beach with over 14,000 soldiers. This event is monumental in the history of WW2 as it was the event that started the liberation of the rest of Europe and the achievement over the German forces. -Katie

    After the Japanese government ignored an warning given to them by the United States, President Harry S. Truman dropped the nuclear bomb "Little Boy" on the city of Hiroshima -Katie
