    Hiroshima, was an important place to this time period because it was the first city that the Atomic bomb was used on. The bomb was brought by an American bomber called Enola Gay and it caused an extreme amount of destruction and deaths. Even more deaths occurred from radiation.

    Nagasaki was an important Japanese city because it was a naval port where torpedos were made and it was the second city that suffered the attack of the atomic bomb. The bombing was caused by the Russians.
  • Formal Surrender of Japan

    The surrender took place on the USS Missouri, and this surrender concluded World War Two.
  • V-J Day

    This was Victory in Japan day, which was when they surrendered.
