Watergate Scandal
On June 17th 1972 three burglars broke into the Democratic National Committee Headquarters. After a long court case it was discovered that the Nixon campaign staff was responsible for the break in in hopes of finding things to promote Nixon's campaign. -
Nixon Resigns
After the public saw the truth of the Watergate scandal, Nixon decided to resign. A month later Gerald Ford was brought into office as the new president.
