  • Brown vs. Board of Education

    This landmark case declared that black students and white students should attend schools together.
  • Emmett Till

    Emmett Till was A fourteen year old black boy that was violently murdered. It is said that he whistled at a white woman in Mississippi where that was not accepted. This was taken to court, and the all white court ruled in just 67 minutes that the actual murderers were not guilty.
  • Rosa Parks

    Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white man and got arrested. This begins the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
  • Nine Black Students

    Nine black students attempt to de-segregate an all white public school in Arkansas.
  • Freedom Riders

    Young college students who wish to outlaw segregation head into the heavy south to stand up for black rights and are attacked by mobs and such.
  • James Meredith

    James Meredith is the first black student to attend the University of Mississippi. Violence outbreaks and The President sends 5,00 federal troops to protect him.
