  • Battle of France

    German invasion of France and the Low Countries. Also called the Phoney war. France was divided into four zones: A German occupation zone in the north and west, a small Italian occupation zone in the southeast, and an unoccupied zone, the zone libre, in the south. France loses 350,000 Men killed and wounded, England loses 100,000 men killed/wounded/captured with 40,000 prisoners taken at Dunkirk and Germany loses 100,000 men killed and wounded.

    Known as "Air battle against England" or "Air battle against Great Britain". First major campaign to be fought entirely by air forces. Germany loses 3,000 Pilots and England loses 1,800 Pilots as well as 20,000 British Civilians are killed.
  • Hitler cancels the invasion of Britain.

    Also known as operation sealion. Hitler ordered germany to prepare for invasion. Hitler identified 4 conditions that needed to be fullfilled before the invasion could happen. But not all got fullfilled, and soon they changed the name to operation eagle. At the end he wanted to officially postpone (he hoped to revive plans but he never did. Instead, hitler turned to the soviet union, which meant britain was never again faced with a serious of threats of german invasion.

    Paper Presented to the Sixth International Revisionist Conference. What happened during the scorched earth: Faced with a massive build-up of Soviet military strength across the line of demarcation, concerned by the Soviet breach of the so-called Hitler-Stalin Pact and forewarned by new and enormous Soviet demands for geographic concessions in Europe, Germany invaded the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941.

  • Battle of Pearl Harbor

    Japanese called it Hawaii Operation or Operation AI. Thsi date will live in infamy. A surprise military strike conducted by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The base was attacked by 353 Japanese fighters, bombers and torpedo planes in two waves, launched from six aircraft carriers. 188 U.S. aircraft were destroyed. 2,402 men were killed and 1,282 wounded.
  • Battle of Warsaw

    Uprising. Wanted to liberate Warsaw from Germany, The main objectives were to drive the German occupiers from the city and help with the larger fight against Germany and the Axis powers. 50,000 Poles lost their lives and 3,000 German Soldiers died.
  • Battle of Berlin

    Known as one of the bloodiest battles in history. German Adolf Hitler and a number of his followers committed suicide. The city's defenders finally surrendered on May 2, But they still fought. Germany lost 200,000 killed and over 200,000 civilians killed and Soviet Union lost 600,000 men killed and wounded.

    The United States conducted two atomic bombings against the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that are located in Japan. These dates or places were the only active deployments of nuclear weapons till this date. The U.S. made intense strategic fire-bombing in 67 cities of japan. During six months; U.K., china, and U.S. called surrender of japan during the postdam declaration.
