    This was a major court case which declared that seperate schools for the black and white students was unconstitutional. This act relates to civil rights because this strains the idea of fairness and equality through race.

    The United States created this operation in 1954. It was to rid the country of about one million of the illegal immagrints; mainly mexicans.

    Rosa Parks in Montgomery
    This famous event was how Rosa Parks, a colored woman, refused to up give her seat on the bus for a white man, That day Rosa Parks "initiated a new era of freedom and equality."

    Montgomery Bus Boycott
    This officially began when Rosa Parks refused to move from her seat on the bus. Many blacks after that refused to ride the bus until they got fair seats and stopped having to move because of the whites.

    This was a document written by the gov't in oppisition to racial integration in public places. This was a big part in the desegregation decision. The Southern Manifesto relates to Civil Rights because civil rights were allowed for everyone and black people were always being treated unfairly back then.

    The Southern Christian Leadership Conference was an American civil rights organization. It was associated with its first president Martin Luther King Jr and had a large part in the American civil rights movement.

    Little Rock Nine were a group of black students went to attend Little Rock High School. On the first day of school, the National Guard and more troops stood waiting with mobs to lynch them. African American students should have had the right to attend whichever school they please, but that too was not allowed.
