Yalta conference was conducted between the Allies of World War II to decide upon the splitting process of Europe. The conference, in other words, had to decide the future borders of Europe. However, US and the Soviet Union could not fully agree with the proceedings and results, which triggered the Cold War.

On May 23, 1949 the Federal Republic of Germany was officially formed. Because the Berlin Wall was destroyed, the Federal Republic of Germany was formed. (Soviet Union at fault) If the wall was never created than the Federal Republic of Germany would not have been formed.

A US spy plane reported sighting the construction of a Soviet nuclear missile base in Cuba. President Kennedy set up a naval blockade and demanded the removal of the missiles.
