    This gave Hitler a huge advantage in the start of the war in WWII.

    This was where the Britain and France decided that they would appease Germany and give them the Sudetenland which gave them a big advantage at the start of the war.

    Nazi-Soviet Pact
    This split Poland in half and gave half to the Soviet Union and half to Germany. This also meant that Germany wouldn't fight Russia for a time being.

    This was Germany's new tactic of warfare. It literally means "lightning war" because the operation requires speed.

    This act allowed the United States to support the war effort by giving their allies defensive supplies but not actually intervening into the war. The Big Three which consisted of the United States, Soviet Union, and Britain, were part of this Act. The United States agreed to help them but not get involved into the war.

    The US launched surprise attacks against German Romania, Poland, and Finland. Hitler also invaded Russia which destroyed the purpose of the pact Russia signed with Germany.

    This charter defined post-war goals for the Allies. This included things like the United States not attempting to gain territory from any other countries anymore.

    The Japanese main goal was to take out the US naval base which they thought would completely destroy the US navy. It crippled the nazy but the US came back and helped to win the war.

    In an attempt to liberate France from Nazi control, millions of allied troops were dropped on Normandy Beach.

    The Soviet Union completely usurped Berlin and destroyed it. Hitler also killed himself along with his family which ended the Third Reich.

    The US threatened Japan with a weapon of mass destruction if they didn't surrender. They did not surrender so the US was forced to completely destroy Hiroshima. During the end of the war, the US used a technique called Island Hopping so they could focus on fighting stronger areas of Japan and take them out first.
