Soviet Union defeats Germnay in Stalingrad
Hitler attacked Stalingrad to execute his three-pronged attack in an attempt to try and take over the Soviet Union. Hilter did this because he needed more supplies to power his German war machine. He wanted Stlingrad first because the oil rich region of the Caucasus to the south of Stalingrad caused Hitler to make this decision. They ended up surrendering due to the weather and the heavy snow.
