They also destroyed more than 300 aircraft and killed over 2,000 sailors.

    Bataan Death March
    75 thousand Filipino and American troop took over the Bataan Peninsula and began a forced march to a prison camp. The prisoners were forced to march 85 miles in 6 days and they were only allowed one meal of rice during the whole 85 miles. By the end of the march, hundreds of Americans and Filipinos died.

    This was an attempt to try and push the Allied frontline west to Northwestern Belgium 14 German divisions were guarded by about 80 thousand Americans. General Omar Bradley had to prove that it was him by answering questions about football before passing sentry point.

    The first camp to be liberated was Majdanek. The Germans tried to hide evidence from the mass murder by demolishing most of the camp beside the gas chambers. The Nazi's would transport or make prisoners march in harsh weather without the proper clothes or shoes. Over the course of these marches, thousands of people died from either cold or hunger and some were shot because they couldn't keep up with the rest.

As a result of the atomic bomb being dropped, 80 thousand people were immediately killed and the city was flattened, and 35 thousand people were injured. Another bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. Eventually, after that, Japan surrendered and admitted defeat. World War 2 was finally over.
