    Operation Barbarossa was a very important event in World War II. It decided whether germany was gonna have a big advantage or disadvantage for the whole war. June 22, 1941 hitler began sending his troops to soviet territory to invade. In the beginning they destroyed all in sight without out much of a challenge but due to the soviets stalling their advance as much as they could the Nazis eventually found themselves in lost the snow.

  • Pearl Harbor

    On December 7, 1941, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu, Hawaii. Lasted just two hours the Japanese managed to destroy nearly 20 American naval vessels, including eight enormous battleships, and more than 300 airplanes. More than 2,000 Americans soldiers and sailors died in the attack, and another 1,000 were wounded.President Franklin D. Roosevelt asked Congress to declare war on Japan; Congress approved his declaration.

They discussed about the “Final Solution” a complete annihilation of all European Jews.   • Bataan Death March

    Bataan Death March
    After the April 9, 1942, U.S. surrender of the Bataan Peninsula on the main Philippine island of Luzon to the Japanese during World War II (1939-45), the approximately 75,000 Filipino and American troops on Bataan were forced to make an arduous 65-mile march to prison camps. The marchers made the trek in intense heat and were subjected to harsh treatment by Japanese guards. Thousands perished in what became known as the Bataan Death March.

The Battle of Midway was an important event it gave America a huge advantage. Due to america code breaking some of Japan's messages they countered Japan's ambush.     The allied forces of Great Britain and USA work together to bomb Hamburg, Germany. Britain bombs Hamburg by night, and USA bombs it by day. It probably happened to slow down or to stop German soldiers. They killed 30,000 people and destroyed 280,000 buildings

The germans planned on doing this by using a technique called blitzkrieg through Ardennes to Antwerp.     April 1, 1945 the Battle of Okinawa began it was the biggest and bloodiest battle on the Pacific islands. America attacked Japan and instead of Japan usually fighting at water’s edge they fought and slowly retreated inward to buy as much time as they could.     May 8, 1945 the Allies celebrated Victory in Europe Day both nations celebrated with flags and banner for the Nazis defeat. The germans surrendered on the eighth dropping their weapons on the ground. Germans near Russia kept on fighting so they won't be taken as prisoners but they eventually go taken as prisoners.     On this day in 1945, at 8:16 a.m. Japanese time, an American B-29 bomber, drops the world’s first atom bomb, over the city of Hiroshima.Apx. 80,000 people are killed as a direct result of the blast, and another 35,000 are injured. President Harry S. Truman, discouraged by the Japanese response to the Potsdam Conference’s demand for unconditional surrender, made the decision to use the atom bomb so wouldn't be a greater loss of life were the United States to invade the Japanese mainland.
