  • Nazi-Soviet Pact

    Hitler and Stalin come together to sign the Nazi-Soviet Pact, where they agreed to not get in each other's way and share some of the land in Europe. They signed it because they each gained from it, not because they liked each other
  • World War II Begins

    The Nazis invade Poland from the west. This invasion led to a short series of events that essentially started World War 2.
  • Britain and France Declare War

    Only two days after the Nazis invaded Poland, both Britain and France declared war. This was the last straw, after letting Germany do what they want for years without punishment.
  • Soviet Union Also Invades Poland

    The Soviet Union decides to invade Poland from the east. The Nazis and Soviet Union ended up splitting Poland evenly between themselves.
  • Nazi Invasions; Winston Churchill Becomes Prime Minister.

    Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg are all invaded by the Nazis, and later all end up surrendering. Neville Chamberlain resigns as Prime Minister and has his job taken over by WInston Churchill.
  • Italy Joins

    Italy decides to take the Nazi's side and declare war on both Britain and France. The two countries had very similar ideals and were allied in the past.
  • Allies Complete Conquest of Sicily

    This battle lasted 6 weeks and was codenamed Operation Husky. This was a very crucial battle as it opened up trade routes along the Mediterranean Sea and led to the defeat of Benito Mussolini.
  • Nazis Turn on Soviets

    The Nazis surprise the Soviet Union and invade Russia. The invasion was codenamed Operation Barbarossa and was supposed to be an easy victory for the Nazis.
  • Nazis Plan to Eliminate Jews

    14 high-ranking Nazi leaders get together to discuss the disposal of Jewish people in Europe. Their plan is called "The Final Solution."
  • Battle of Stalingrad Begins

    The Battle of Stalingrad was a large battle between the Nazis and Soviets for the city of Stalingrad. This was one of the largest and bloodiest battles in World War II. This was also the most significant losses for the Nazis, and considered to be the turning point for Eastern Front.
  • Germany Surrenders at Stalingrad

    The downfall of the Nazis begins with the loss at Stalingrad and the surrender of 17 Nazi generals.
  • Sloq Downfall of Germany Continues

    Nazi forces surrender in Tunisia after a loss to the Allied forces. This marks another battle that the Nazis lost, after appearing to be indestructible,
  • Nazi Forces Kicked Out of Russia

    The Soviet Army begins to counter to Nazi forces after the Battle of Stalingrad and drive them out of Russia.
  • Italy Surrenders

    After being invaded and conquered by the allies, as well as their leader who got them in to this war being defeated and dethroned, Italy decide to surrender peacefully.
  • Italy Turns on Germany

    After surrendering to the Allies, Italy decides to go by the old saying, "If you cant beat them, join them," and declares war on Germany.
  • D-Day

    This historical and well know invasion on Normandy was incredibly important and was a large turning point in the war. It caused Nazi-ridden France to be liberated by the Allies. Over 156,000 allied troops were involved in this battle, with 4,000 losing their lives and thousands more injured or lost.
  • Liberation of France

    The Germans are finally defeated in France and are driven out. Germany had controlled France for around 4 years. Germany's downfall appears to be imminent.
  • Mussolini Death

    After Mussolini escaped from Italy and was taken under Hitler, he is finally captured by Italy partisans and killed. Italy is finally moved on from Mussolini's dictatorship and is controlled by a much more capable leader.
  • Hitler's Death

    With imminent defeat and a multitude of Allied troops approaching Berlin, Hitler decides to commit suicide with a gunshot to the head, while his wife next to him took cyanide. His death was only a couple days after the death of Mussolini.
  • End of Germany

    Germany finally surrenders to the Allied forces. After Berlin gets liberated and Hitler kills himself, the Nazis had no choice but to finally surrender and end World War 2.
