    An attack six months Pearl Harbor, the Japanese planned to attack some islands Pearl Habor and the Americans figured out their secret codes and set a fleet of ships to prepare for their attack. The battle lasted four days with the Americans turning the tides with air bombing the Japanese ships, winning the battle.

    FDR established the the MFAA to protect the artworks that had been stolen during the war. During 1945 the "monument men' scoured Europe looking for the missing works. Even after the war was over the MFAA searched for still missing works.

    160,000 Allied troops landed on the coast of France to fight Nazi Germany. The Allies won but with high lost rate of 9,000 soldiers killed. This one day battle allowed for the rest of the troops to gain a foot-hold across Europe.

    American bombers dropped an atomic bomb over the city of Hiroshima, in Japan. The explosion affect 90% of the city and killed 80,000 on impact and many more later due to radiation.

    The American's bombed the city of Nagasaki, in a similar manner to the Hiroshima bombing. This was the last major act of WWII, and within two days of the attack the Japanese surrendered.
