Germany invaded Poland to regain land that was lost due to the Treaty of Versailles. This was what brought Great Britain and France into the war. The beginning of WWII. -

German troops in a form of blitzkrieg try to split up allied armies. As the germans drove deeper they created a bulge hence the name of the war. Even after the harsh artillery, the allies neautralized the situation. -

This was the last and giggest battle between the United States and Japan. It was crucial to the USA because air bases that were needed to invade Japan were at stake. -

On this day, Germany surredered and the allies celebrated victory in Europe. -
Dropping of the Atomic Bomb
The United States drops an atomic bomb on Hiroshma, Japan. Killing thousands instantley. They do this as an attempt to get Japan to finall surrender. -
V-J Day
Japan signs an agreement that they surrender and the war is now over in the pacific. "Victory over Japan day!"
