Freedom Festival
members of the World Peace and Unification Sanctuary were invited to "show their willingness to defend their families, communities and nation" by bringing their semi-auto rifles to a service in which their weapons were blessed. Moon took to the stage at his church's annual Festival, which brought together a medley of far-right figures and gun enthusiasts at the Kahr Arms headquarters in Greeley, Pennsylvania. -
Compound Relocation
it was reported that Moon and Sanctuary Church had bought and moved to a compound 40 miles from Waco, Texas, the site of the Waco siege.Upon moving to the compound they continued to espouse a highly militant ideology. -
United States Capital Riot
Moon and other members of Sanctuary Church participated in the United States Capitol attack. Moon faced no criminal charges from his involvement in the insurrection. -

The United States Supreme Court issued a decision denying the petition for certiorari submitted by Hyung Jin Moon. In the petition Moon argued Austin that he had been appointed by the reverend Sun Myung Moon as the leader of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. Separation
Hak Ja Han, as the successor to the church began to change the theological foundations of her husbands, Hyung father’s teachings and elevating her own status within the church. This lead to Hyung Jin Moon and his wife to separate from the movement and establish their own local sect.
