    The start of world war 1 created a big change in Canadian women's history. This happened because as world war 1 progressed women were forced to wear more work fashion clothes as help was needed.

    In 1915 Canadians women's fashion took a horrid change in the sense of comfort for the ladies when the were forced into very tight skirts. These skirts went down to their ankles and they were tight around their legs so the had to hobble to get around

    Fashion designers were never popular in this day an age so it was very rare to see one. The first two shops opened up in Toronto and Montreal. This was the start to a positive change for women because fashon designers were now aloud to make any type of clothes they wanted to sell to women instead of being watched and forced to make outfits.

    Women were cruelly forced to wear these skirts mostly made out of wood which was very uncomfortable but there was nothing they could do to stop it. Women would write letters complaining how terrible these skirts were but they couldn't complain because they were too nervous to get caught.

    At this point women are tired of being bossed around and are very uncomfortable but they had no chance to fight back because they had no rights. What the women would do is steal clothing or “borrow” from the men and not return them or ruin them. This is important because it was the start of women's rights and how they fought for them.

    Women in the 1920s were always constantly worried about their body shapes and how they had to look. Bigger women or with a bigger waist would force on a corset which was way too small for them and have up to 10 people aggressively pulling to make it tight as possible. This was very unhealthy and dangerous for women which marked a huge outburst and makes people to this day upset.

    Womens fashion was starting to slow down in Canada because it was not a very known of topic. However women made a big change in the years 1926 and 1927 when they would start to wear high heels out to meetings or even around their mansions. This really impacted womens fashion because it showed that they were finally brave enough to make a decision to come out with their own fashion. These heels were ranged from 2-3 inches.

    The stock market crash caused the Great Depression nationally around the world. This caused womens fashion became less of an important topic. There were not many changes for many years to come after this date until late 1940’s towards the end of WW2. Clothes were also hard to be produced and made because their were less workers.

    Many sad consequences occurred but there was still some sort of cause. It was all caused because of how women were treated back in the 1900s. This is because if you were a women and you were seen out of the classic clothing then you would get put away, assumed you were poor or even sometimes murdered. This event also had many consequences. For example clothing, ugly outfits, sexism from males, etc. Although Canadas fashion had a proper cause this did not make up for the events women would face.

    Since 1929 in Canada women's fashion has made a drastic changes in many different ways. The most important part is how girls can wear whatever type of clothing that they would like. Secondly the general style of clothing has had major adjustments. Clothes is very comfortable now and a lot easier to get dressed. Women these days tend to wear older style dresses on different occasions which were similar to the dresses in 1900s. Overall women's fashion has changed more than it has stayed the same.
