Sige of Haarlem
On July 13,1573, an army of Philip II of Spain attacked the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands. This event was part of the Eighty Years' War. The city surrendered and the garrison was massacured. Marries Anne Hathaway
On November 28, 1582, Shakespeare marries Anne Hathaway. He was 18 and she was 26, because of this they needed to pay a 40 pound bond to be able to get married. They later have a daughter and twins. Susanna Shakespeare
Susanna Shakespeare was born im May of 1583. She married a physician named John Hall. Shakespeare was very fond of this man so he decided to give Susanna everything when he died. She was able to live in his house when she died and was repersented by the two most famous men in Stratford. Shakespeare was of course on of those men. His Breakthrough
The theatre's weree closed due to the plauge so Shakespeare had to figutre out what to do for a job now because we couldn'd work the plays. In 1592, he wrote "Venus and Adonice" and "The Rape Lucrece" which were considered to be his breakthrough. This helped him get a start to the writing buisness which he would become famous for. Romeo and Juliet
William Shakespeare wrote the play Romeo and Juliet in 1597 which will become the most poular love story. Shakespeare wote this play besed on tow people who were really in love. The Globe Theatre

Guy Fawkes sentenced to death
On January 31, Guy Fawkes was sentenced to death. He was the chief conspirator of the plot to blow up the British Parliament building. They found explosive devices in the cellar he was in. Moments before his execution for treason, Guy jumps to his own death. (Grun 269) -
Dutch able to trade in Japan
In 1611, the Dutch East India Comapany sent two merchant ships to Japan. They were able to after they obtained a license allowing them to trade in Japan. This resulted in the first Dutch trading house. (Grun 273) -
Shakespeare's Death
William Shakespeare died on August 23,1616. This is the exact day he was born but 52 years later, which means he died at age 52. There is no official record but it is said that his funeral was Aril 25,1616.
