His mom and dad both die of tuberculosis. The three kids were split up to go live with other people, Edgar went to go live with a foster family. -

Death of his Foster Mother
His foster mother, Frances Allan, and he was close to her so it was sad for him. -
Goes to West Point
He goes to the Military School, West Point and a few months later he wrote his second book of poetry but he got kicked out of the school and continued to write. -

Poe was 27 at the time and he married his 13 year old cousin, Virginia Clemm -
His wife dies
She died of Turburculosis. So many things had happened to him recently that he thought he was going insane so he became a severe alcoholic. -
Enagement
After his wife died he went and proposed to two other girls but he didn't marry either of them. -
Death
He was found dead in a Baltimore gutter and he is pronounced dead for unknown causes. He was buried in Westminister Presbyterian Church in Baltimore.
