Werner Heisenberg made his contribution to the mathematical foundations of quantum mechanics. He theorized that you can not make accurate measurements at a quantum level. This caused the creation of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, which means that you can't accurately measure the position and velocity of a particle at the same point in time.
