Werner Heisenberg was born in Wurburg, Germany.

    Venia Legendi

Leading up to the publish of his theory in quantum mechanics, Werner Heisenberg tackled the issue of explaining the anomalous Zeeman effect. He was successful at this task even though he used half-integral quantum numbers. He studied at the same time the hydrodynamical turbulence problem. At the University of Göttingen, and in 1924 he gained the venia legendi at that University.

By putting together very small difference in terms to predict experimental quantum results (the 1925
Kramers-Heisenberg formula, which predicted the Raman effect). He claimed that fundamental concepts of the old theory, notably electron orbits, had to be abandoned completely. Heisenberg began to describe atomic systems by observables only. https://youtu.be/TQKELOE9eY4

    Nobel Prize

Heisenberg was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics. The award was for 1932 selection but due to the Nobel Piece Prize committee not being able to come to a clear winner that year due to the participants not meeting all the requirements. There is a regulation that states they can skip a year if that is the issue and award it the following year which is exactly what happened to Werner Heisenberg

President of the Alexander von Humboldt Fundation

President of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Heisenberg did a lot to spread the policy of this Foundation, he went out to invite scientists from other countries to Germany and to help them begin work and different methods of research there. He generally wanted a better world, that revolved around science and all that goes with it.

    Invitation to lecture in US

he gave the Gifford Lectures at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, these lectures were deemed so vital to the future of science that after they were given, were published as a book.

Working on Physic issues within the world

Heisenberg liked work on problems of plasma physics and thermonuclear processes, and also worked closely with the International Institute of Atomic Physics at Geneva. For several years, he was the Chairman of the Scientific Policy Committee of this Institute.
