All Men Vote
All men who were born or naturalized in the United States are given citizenship, and are therefore granted the right to vote. -
15th Amendment
Race can no longer determine your voting eligibility, all races are equally free to vote. Some people still heavily discriminated against the blacks right to vote. -
First Women in Voting
Washington voters amended their state constitution, which gave women the right to vote and run for office. -
19th Amendment
The 19th amendment gave all women the right to vote. Sex was no longer an issue for voting requirements. -
Native American Voting Rights
The Indian Citizenship Act gave Native Americans citizenship and therefore the right to vote. -
Civil Rights Act
People over the age of 21, regardless of sex, race, religion, or education now have the right to vote. The 24th amendment is passed, which eliminates poll taxes nationwide. -
Voting Rights Act
The Voting Rights Act is made, disallowing literacy tests and federally enforcing registration. -
Voting Age
The 26th amendment lower the voting age to 18, allowing for more and younger people to have an influence in their government. -
Voting Rights Act Renewal
The Voting Rights Act is renewed, as the first time it didn't have the expected impact. Literacy tests are banned nationwide, and areas with a lack of english skill are now required to have translated voting materials. -
Voting Turnout
Voting turnout is at an all time low, with about only 48% on average turing out to vote. This is worldwide critically low, and many other countries have significantly better.
