Telephones make things so much easier because you dont have to travel to talk to someone you can do it in the comfort of your own home.

    In 1880 Thomas Edison invented and patented The Incandescent Light Bulb. And coon after Thomas Edison also came up with a way to produce and distribute electricty. Electricty provided many advances in technology, it allowed for businesses to start a plant anywhere instead of next to an energy source and it opened many more jobs for people. Electricty was a big part of industrialization.

    labor unions have existed since some time in the 1700's but in 1866 the first large scale union wa formed. this union demanded equal pay for equal work. this organiztion was concerned for anyone who got hurt during there job. in 1886 the organiztion reached its high of over 700,000 members.
