Tyler Oakley was born on March 22, 1989 in Jackson, Michigan to his mother Jacquelen Oakley at Foote Hospital. He has 12 siblings altogether because his parents were divorced. Including half-siters and brothers or step-sisters and brothers.

Tyler traveled to California for an internship at a Celebrity PR Firm and a non-profit suicide hotline supporting LGBTQ youth: The Trevor Project.

Mr. Oakley moved Junior year from Michigan State University to intern in LA, then majoring in Communications,afterwards moving to San Fransisco to fulfill his dream of success on the internet and modern culture.
