Khales Said beaten by police
He was beaten to death by Egyptian police after he was arrested in a cyber cafe. Witnesses to the event say he was dragged out and hit repeatedly with objects by the police while the police said he resisted arrest and died of suffocation from trying to swallow drugs which is oppisite of what all witinesses say happened. He was a activist for a new government and promoted a revolution or reform in Egypts government. -

He gave up his power in Tunisa as president after protest calling him to resign and after many died in the protest against him. He had declared state of emergencys during his presidency and created laws that banned large gatherings. -
Ben Ali sentenced to 35 years in jail in Abstentia
He was sentenced to 35 years of prision on counts of abusing public funds while he was in office and was charged with a 60 million dollar fine -

Freedom and justice party wins majority of seats in parlimentary elections
The party has strong links to the muslim brotherhood. This is the biggest and most well orgagnized party in egypt currently. They won 47.2% of the seats in parliment giving them near control of it. -

He had resigned after many protest that have occured in Egypt were the people have asked him to step down as ruler. As he did, he made the military in power to control the changes that would take place in the upcoming of reform change in Egypt. -

Mubarak is the former president of Egypt who stepped down in February of 2011. He received a life sentence for killing protestors. -
Ennahda anounces constitution will not cite Islamic Law.
Ennadha said that Tunisia's post revolution constitution will not state Islamic Law. They did this in attempt to uniify the governments political figures. -
Mohammad Morsi elected president
Morsi was a member of parliment and a lead member of the Muslim Brotherhood. He won Egypt's presidental runoff against Ahmed Shafik. -
Morsi asserts political control over military by forcing military cheif to resign
He removed him and 2 laws that would curb his power as president giving him a very large control of politics and military in egypt. He said this was done to benifit the people but has just given him more power over the government and the military.
