Thomas Kuhn published The Copernican Revolution in 1957, which studied the development of heliocentric theory during the Renaissance and the beginning of the Scientific Revolution, in which he introduced the word paradigm. Kuhn believed that Copernicus's theories were mainly accepted due to society's need for change rather than actual scientific experimentation to prove his theory.
