In his second Landmark book it elaborates on The Paradigm shifts in science -
Thomas Kuhn was born in Cincinnati Ohio. -
Kuhn attended Harvard University and graduated in 1943 in Physics and got his PHD in History of Science. -
Kuhn had studied the solar system and heliocentrism; essentially depicting the Sun lies in the middle of Universe. -
Kuhn through his scientific research about the paradigm shifts and how they effected our methods of evaluating science. -
First off understanding a paradigm shift is essentially a model or a way of going about resolving problems or as Kuhn's concept iterated it solving puzzles. It starts off in the normal science which is phase 1 of Kuhns; then proceeds into phase 2 model crisis; phase 3, the model revolution and lastly the Paradigm change. Ultimately it is a formula for going about bringing a new way of thinking and leaving behind the old ways and procedures. -
Ultimately, his contribution had a major impact to science and philosophy during his era, which in turn laid the groundwork for todays world of science!
