Thomas Kuhn was an alumni of Harvard and focused on the Philosophy of Science with a particular interest in the history of Physics. After graduation and during WWII Kuhn assisted in research on radar systems.

In 1946, Kuhn earned his masters and and his Doctorate degrees in Physics. He was appointed to the Society of Fellows at Harvard.

In 1962, Thomas Kuhn wrote his book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. In this book he defined his Paradigm Shift. A Paradigm Shift is a primary and definite shift in the viewpoint of Science.

While working at Berkeley, Kuhn developed his interests in philosophy.

After his stint at Berkeley he was a professor at Princeton from 1964 to 1979 and MIT from 1979 to 1991.

Thomas Kuhn died while battling Lung Cancer in his home in Massachusetts.
