    In this book Kuhn describes "paradigms" and "paradigm shifts" in relation to scientific revolutions. He describes paradigms forming abnormalities over time that cannot be explained, and causes a paradigm shift until a new theory is introduced that replaces the old paradigm with a new one. He also stated that the scientific process may not be a gradual accumulation of information, but paradigm shifts leading to more accurate data rather than whole new data.
