  • The Copernican Revolution

    The Copernican Revolution
    The Copernican Revolution was originally taught to students while teaching at Harvard. His book was eventually published in 1957. This publishing was specifically in regards to Nicolaus Copernicus’s book, De Revolutionibus. Due to his modern education on Physics he had a hard time understanding how the Earth could be the center of the solar system. This is where he began his in depth research on other theories and ultimately led him to paradigm shifts.
  • The Structure of Scientific Revolutions

    In 1962 Thomas Kuhn published his book, the Structure of Scientific Revolutions. This was one of his major works explaining paradigm shifts. His book let to many great discoveries from here on out due to scientists having a different way of viewing things. This book is what Thomas Kuhn is most commonly known for.

    In 1988, Kuhn's "Black-Body Theory and the Quantum Discontinuity" was published. This published was based on quantum mechanics in it's early stages.

    Thomas Kuhn passed away in Cambridge, MA due to lung cancer in 1996. He was diagnosed in 1994.

    This was a very interesting and educational video. I found this video to very well explain Kuhn's paradigm shifts. The author gives many examples to help understand.
