    In May of 1869, Theodore's parents announced that they would be traveling all over Europe seeing historic sites, visiting museums, and just traveling about.

  • Theodore and his family return from Europe.

    After a year of traveling all over Europe, the Roosevelt family finally returns home.

  • Theodore enters Harvard

    In July of 1875, Theodore Roosevelt took his college entrance examinations on eight different subjects and passed them all. In Harvard, he falls in love with a girl named Alice Lee, who he later marries.

  • Theodore's father dies of cancer.

  • Theodore graduates Harvard.

  • Theodore marries Alice Lee.

  • Theodore and Alice leave for Europe on a Honeymoon.

  • Theodore and Alice's baby girl is born.

    Theodore's first baby, named Alice after her mother.

    Theodore's mother was laying in bed on one floor dying of typhoid fever. Alice Lee was dying of kidney disease. Baby Alice was alright though.

  • Theodore's term of office as governor of New York ends.

  • Theodore Roosevelt becomes President.

    Because of President William McKinley's death, Theodore Roosevelt had to take over as President.
