    Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait with Iraqi military support. The U.S.A. condemned the action, and formed a coalition of allies from around the world to oppose it. The Coalition successfully pushed Hussein out of Kuwait, but also put a target for Islamic radicals on Uncle Sam's back.

    The deadliest and most brutal terrorist attack in American history. 19 Islamic radicals hijacked three passenger planes and planned to collide into densly populated areas. This was the day that prompted the U.S. government to wage the War on Terror.

    The government of Saddam Hussein was toppled by the invasion of Iraq in 2003 by the United States and various other Coalition allies. This was the launch of an eight year campaign called Operation Iraqi Freedom.
