    Japanese people landed on the east coast of South Thailand and at Kota Bahru in north-eastern Malaya. Then the japanese invasion of Malaya began.
  • Sinking of british battleships

    2 British battle ships called, Repulse and The Prince Of Wales sunk by japanese fighter planes. The sinking of these ships were the worst things that happened in the war. The british didn't have anymore battle ships to stop the japanes from landing in the coast of Malaya.
  • The Battle of Jitra

    In Kedah, The Japanese fought against the British in heavy rain.The british didn't have tanks because they did not think it was suitable for jungle warfare, but they were wrong. The Japanese tanks could move so fast that the Brith were surprised.The british were no match for the japanese because they were well trained. There was a breakdown in communications. The troops were confused. The british gave up and left behind weapons, vehicles and food.
  • The fall of Penang

    before the fall of Penang, Japanese planes dropped bombs on the island. Many ships and boats in the harbour were taken by the japanese to make coastal landings on the wst coast of Malaya.
  • The battle of slim river

    at slim river, the britished lost a battle againsted the japanese. The british tried to use anti-tank guns on the japanese tanks but it didn't work. The japanese captured lots of food and equipment. The batlle was a major victory for the japanese and major defeat for the britsh.
  • The japanese troops entered Kuala Lumpur

    Japanese entered Kuala Lumpur. The japanese found train loads of food and ammuntion.Miliary maps were also taken by the japanese. In the end it was the invadors that had the maps and not the defenders.
  • The battle of Gemas

    At Gemas, The Australian and indian soldiers tried to stop the japanese from reaching singapore. They put exploseves on a wooden bridge. Australian comander waited til most of the japanese werec on the wooden bridge then he blew them up. They were still defeated by the japanese.
