In 1509, Francisco Pizarro became an explorer.Francisco sailed on the expedition that founded the city of San Sebastian.Then he decided that he wanted to go on more expeditions.

Over time, tensions built up between the conquistadors who had originally conquered Peru.As a result, conquistadors were torn into two factions, one run by Pizarro, and the other run by Diego Almagro.Almagro engeged Pizarro and his brothers in the battle of Las Salinas, the Pizarro brothers had won the war, and in 1538 Hernado Pizarro captured and executed Almagro.

On June 26, 1541 Francisco Pizarro was assassinated in Lima,Peru. Members of the defeated party avenged Almagro’s death.By doing this, the mebers of Almagro assasinated Francisco Pizarro.
