  • Exposition

    Exposition
    Nick Carraway moves to West Egg and is surrounded by many wealthy people including Jay Gatsby. Nick is only beggining to hear the rumors of Mr. Gatsby, when he was invited to one of Gatsby's infamous parties. He meets Gatsby and they instantly become friends, but Gatsby has an alterior motive. Manipulating his friendship with Nick to get back his love interest from five years prior, Daisy Buchanan.
  • Conflict

    Conflict
    Gatsby spends large amounts of money on his parties in order to get the attention and of Nick's cousin, Daisy Buchanan. The only obstacle in their way is the assumptions and rummors that have been spread about Gatsby and Daisy's husband Tom Buchanan, which Daisy met after Gatsby.
  • Rising Action

    Rising Action
    Gatsby is finaly getting some courage to see Daisy again so he asks Nick to invite Daisy over for a cup of tea with him (Nick). While these arrangements were being made Gatsby hires some landscaping to work on Nick's house. Gatsby also orders an overabundance of flowers and floods Nick's house with them to make an inviting ambiance to please Daisy.
  • Climax

    Climax
    Gatsby tells Tom the history of the relationship between him and Daisy. While Gatsby is persisting to Tom that his wife of five years never loved him, Daisy is like an innocent bystander in this argument. Daisy finaly tells her husband the she does love Gatsby but also loves him and that she is going to leave him for Gatsby
  • Falling Action

    Falling Action
    Daisy and Gatsby are angrily driving back to Tom's house. While
    Daisy was behind the wheel she accidentaly runs over Tom's mistress, Mertyle Willson, killing her instantly, and drives away with no hesitation.
  • Resolution

    Resolution
    After the accident, Tom convinces George Wilson that the yellow car that muerdered his wife was owned by a man named Jay Gatsby and that he was the guilty one in this crime. George was convnced that Gatsby was the suspect. So revenge was what led to the asassination of Jay Gatsby
