    Nick and Tom take Myrtle, Tom’s mistress, to Morningside Heights, an apartment in New York. They have a small party consisting of Nick, Tom, Myrtle, Myrtle’s sister Catherine, and the Mckee couple. Tom Buchanan slaps Myrtle for disobeying his orders.

    He invites Nick, who meets Jordan Baker at the party. Nobody there seems to know who Gatsby is, but Nick is very curious to meet him, so for a good amount of the party tries to find him. They finally meet, and at first Nick seems very fond of him.

    Gatsby drives Nick and himself to New York City, where they have lunch, and Gatsby reveals his "past".

    While at lunch, Nick meets Meyer Wolfsheim, a con artist (who Gatsby claims was the one who rigged the World Series), and this leads one to suspect that Gatsby's riches are derived from illegal sources.
  • Gatsby and Daisy Meet Again

    Gatsby and Daisy Meet Again
    Nick sets up a little gathering at his house by the request of Gatsby, so that he can finally meet back up with his long lost love, Daisy. The beginning of the reunion is painfully awkward, but they end up getting past that and talking for hours.
  • Tom and Daisy Attend a Party

    Tom and Daisy Attend a Party
    Tom and Daisy attend one of Gatsby's parties, where they get in an argument and Tom accuses Gatsby of being a bootlegger.
  • George Finds out About Affair

    George Wilson finds out about the affair going on between his wife and Tom Buchanan, and wants to move her out west.
  • Daisy kills Myrtle

    Daisy is carelessly driving home in Gatsby's yellow Rolls Royce, and Myrtle steps out in front of the car and gets hit, killing her instantly. Daisy doesn't realize/car what happened though, and keeps on driving, and Gatsby volunteers to take the blame. George Wilson though recognizes that car as Gatsby's, and believes he did it.
  • Going Out to Lunch

    Gatsby, Nick, and Jordan go out to New York City for lunch. They later rent a hotel room in the city to go hang out in, and when Tom witnesses the passion between Daisy and Gatsby, all hell breaks loose and there is a big fight. Daisy ends up staying with Tom, which crushes Gatsby.
  • Nick and Jordan Break up

    They finally decide it is time to end their relationship
  • Gatsby is Shot and Killed

    Since George Wilson thought it was Gatsby who ran over Myrtle, one day he comes over while Gatsby is lying in his pool and shoots and kills him. George then kills himself.
  • Gatsby's Funeral

    Nick tries to gather Gatsby's friends for his funeral ceremony, but they all have conviniently disappeared. The only people who show up are Nick, Gatsby's father, Owl Eyes, a couple servants, and several other various acquaintances of Gatsby's.
