Iwane Matsui, a general in the Imperial Japanese Army, commanded Japanese troops to ente China's capital of Nanking and kill people. He believed this would break the spirits of the Chinese. In reasult of what he believe he was founded guilt of murder after World War II. -

The German "Blitzkrieg" was a way of the Germans attacking their enemies. This way of fighting was to knock out their opponents as fast as possible. This process proved to work efficiently and caused the Germans to knock down their opponents faster. -

The Japanese Navy attack a Hawaiin dock with missiles. The Japanese did this out of anger because the Americans shut off their oil supply. Once the Japanese had attacked America then entered the war because they now had a reason. -
Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
Jewish residents in Nazi-occupied Warsaw, Poland staged an armed revolt. They wanted to rise above the Nazis and gain their freedom back but sadly this revolt ended in 7,000 Jews dying and the 50,000 who survived were wither exterminated or sent to labor camps. -
D-Day (Normandy Invasion)
France had been taken over by Germany so America, Britain and Canada faught German troops in Normandy. They needed to rescue their ally and once they defeated the Germans in Normandy France was liberated. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
America invades Iwo Jima in order to get a base closer to Japan. We claimed victory in Iwo Jima. Our reward was an American naval base in Iwo Jima. -
Battle of Okinawa
A naval battle that took place because of Japan's fear. Japan feared that America would invade so in order to stop that from happening Japan and America went at it. This was he last battle in the Pacific. -
Victory in Europe (VE Day)
German troops laid down their weapons and admitted deafeat. Hitler had killed himself and the Germans were lost. Once the news had spread that the Allies had won in Europe they celebrated. -
America Drops the First Atomic Bomb
After Japan attacked America, we decided to drop atomic bombs. The first bomb landed in Hiroshima after we had asked for their surrender and were ignored. It wasn't until after the second bomb that the Japanese. -
Americans Drop the Second Atomic Bomb
Once we dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima we proceeded to drop another atomic bomb on Nagasaki after no reply from the Japanese. Once we dropped the second bomb they surrendered 6 days later. -
Victory in Japan (VJ)
After being bombed twice the Japanese surrendered. They feared that Japan would collapse if the continued to fight. Once this news had spread the Allies celebrated. -
Battle of the Bulge
Hitler sent his troops to Ardennes in order to defend the new captured land they had just gotten. He sent the troops prior to the allies coming so that he could set up a defense wall. This resulted in America retreating.
