Reagan & Gorbachev sign INF treaty

This was the treaty to freeze the cold war. In total 2692 weapons were destroyed in the process. Both Soviets and the US could check to see if the other side was holding up there end.

Fall of Berlin

This was when the East German goverment stated "Permanent relocations can be done through all border checkpoints between the GDR (East Germany) into the FRG (West Germany) or West Berlin". This lead to people chipping down the wall and family or loved ones reunited once more
