Mitchell v. Helms
Public school parents argued that Chapter 2 of the Educational Consolidation and Improvement Act violated the First Amendment Establishment Clause. However, the Supreme Court disagreed saying that Chapter 2 is not a law respecting an establishment of a religion. -
Bush v. Gore
This was regarding the 2000 presidential election where Al Gore asked for a hand counting of over 9,000 ballots in Miami-Dade County. The Supreme Court ruled that their methods for recounting ballots was unconsitutional.
