  • The U.S. War in Vietname

    began after the Second World War and escalated into full commitment during what is termed the Vietnam War from 1959 to 1975.
  • The Soviet Union war in Afghanistan

    lasted over nine years from December 1979 to February 1989. Part of the Cold War, it was fought between Soviet-led Afghan forces against multi-national insurgent groups called the Mujahideen, mostly composed of two alliances – the Peshawar Seven and the Tehran Eight. The Peshawar Seven insurgents received military training in neighboring Pakistan and China. As well as weapons and billions of dollars from the United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and other countries.
  • The Break Up of The Soveit

    was formally enacted on December 26, 1991, as a result of the declaration no. 142-Н of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union,[1] acknowledging the independence of the erstwhile Soviet republics and creating the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) – although five of the signatories ratified it much later or not at all. On the previous day, Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, the eighth and last leader of the Soviet Union, resigned, declared his office extinct, and handed over its powers.
