    This ship was the second ship of the U.S to be named Pueblo, Colorado, Pueblo helped the U.S in a lot of ways, It fitted out with a highly amount of sensitive meteorological instruments, reported for duty as tracking the weather , it reported weather conditions and acted as a life gaurd ship beneath the trans-pacific air routes.

    The yalta conference
    The yalta conference was held in the Crimea , it lasted Feburary 4-11 1945, it brought together 3 big allied leaders. This meeting was intended to discuss the re-establishment of the nations or war-torn europe.
  • The iron curtain

    The iron curtain
    The iron curtain was the a symbol of seperation areas at the end of world war II in 1945 until the cold war ended in 1991. This is something the Soviet Union used to different themselves from the others. On the east side of the curtain were the states that were connected or influened by the Soviet Union and on the other side was the states that developed their own international economic and military alliances.

    The potsdam conference was held at cecilienhof in Potsdam, Germany. This included the big three (Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S president Harry Truman to negotiate on terms to end the world war II. After the yalta conference was held Churchhill and Roosevelt both surrendered on May 8, 1945.

    This was a speech that stated that the U.S would support Greece and Turkey with econmic and military from preventing them from falling into the Soviet sphere. His goals were to free people and he believed in freedom . He thought that if Turkey and Greece did not recieve any help the would fall to communism with grave consequences.

    This was the help of the United Stated to Europe to help clean up the mess from the war, the plan lasted about 4 years. The united States had goals to rebuild war-devestated regions, to modernize the industry, remove trade barriers, and make europe prosperous again.

    After world war II the colonies were divided into 4 sections, on June 1948 the russians wanted Berlin all for themselves so they closed all the highways and crossroads and since they did this it made people who live there go out of the city to get food or whatever they needed and to make sure they never came back. Instead the U.s and its allies delivered everything thru the air or jets.

This was all because the north established into a communist government while the South was a right wing government. This was the first military action that led to the cold war. By july the american troops have already entered the war on South Koreas behalf, After 10 years two new states were formed in the south was a anti-communist government in the north the communist.

    The Suez crisis also known as The Tripartite Aggression or suez war. This was when the Israeli armed forces went threw Egypt towards the Suez canal because the president of Egypt nationalized the canal in the same year making this the suez crisis. The french and british armies then helped the israelis army which almost made the soviet union get into a conflict with them and have a bad relationship with the United States.

    The sputnik 1 was the first artificial earth satellite , it could have been seen all over the world and its radio pulses were detectable. This satellite created the sputnik crisis which lead to the space race , a part larger than the cold war. The sputnik provided scientist with many valuable information. The sputnik 2 was the second space craft launched from earth. The sputnik 2 was a a 4-metre high cone-shaped capsule with a base diameter of 2 metres.

    NASA was formed by a space race between the Soviet Union and USA it was created in 1958. The United States was shocked when the Soviet Union was the first one to launch a satellite around earths orbit. It was called the Sputnik which was an embarrasement to the U.S. Then the U.S successfully launched their own satellites named Vangaurd and Explorer I.

    This all happened in 1961 where an unsuccessful invasion by the cubans, supported by the U.S. They had an armed force of about 1,500 cuban exiles landed on the Bahia De Cochinos on the South coast of Cuba. The rebels intentions was to over throw the communist regime of Fidel Castro.

    Before building the Berlin wall the east and west were spereated by barbed wire than the east german authorities began building the wall to forever close off access to the west. For 28 years the Berlin wall stood as the most important symbol of the cold war also known as an "iron curtain" dividing Europe. On the evening of November 9 , 1989 the East german authorities dismantled the wall and the colonies were reunited.

    Cuban Missile Crisis
    The cuban missile crisis was also known as the October crisis, this lasted 13 days between the Soviet Union and Cuba on one side and United States on the other. The u.s placed bombs in Turkey and Italy and aimed at moscow , but the U.S failed to launch the missile. The spy plane saw the missiles in the islands but JFK didn't want them to know that he knew where they were at so he kept it a secret.

    The United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 was passed in response to the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 1668 that required any change in China's representation in the united nations be determined by a two-thirds vote referring to Article 18 of the United nations Charter. The resolution, passed in October 25, 1971, recognized the People's Republic of China as "the only legitimate representative of China to the United Nations"

In Iran the whole hostage taking was seen as being a blow against the United States. This all took place in Tehran, Iran. This lasted exactly 1 year 2 months 2 weeks and 2 days

    The Tiananmen Sqaure Massacre was also known as the June Fourth incident. This all took place in Beijing where many students protested for greater democracy and call for the resignations of chinese communist party. What the students were trying to do was block Tiananmen sqaure so that the military wouldn't get through. The troops has assault riffles and tanks so they can kill anyone who tried to get in their way.
